Ultimook Race in Tillamook, OR

Bring a towel (or 2) to this event.

NOTES FROM RACE DIRECTOR:

  • Corn Maze:  This is a reminder to everyone that no one is allowed into the corn maze at any time.   It will be closely monitored and if your kid(s) are found in there you'll be asked nicely to leave early.

  • Wild Flower Field:  This year there is a field of wildflowers  in the middle of the property by the small barn.  This will be a big temptation to go inside and take photos.  Please stay out of this field.  Take photos from the perimeter only.

  • We have a large water feature next to the small barn and field of wildflowers.  It's shouldn't be necessary to mention that climbing over the water feature is a quick way to get uninvited from the Hydrangea Ranch.

  • WELL BEHAVED DOGS ON A LEASH OKAY!!!  Please spread the word, I don’t have time to field phone calls from parents about dogs….”

  • Souvenir t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats will be available for purchase.  There will be a concession stand.  We have a coffee truck.

  • As our business for weddings continue to flourish, it is harder and harder to justify all the impact that the Ultimook Race has on our beautiful flower farm.  Please do your part to help us justify the impact and be sure it is not disrespected in any way by your kids.

EVENT: What better way to kick off the Cross Country season than by participating in the Ultimook Race, held in Tillamook, Oregon?  This course is held on “old school” terrain, providing a balance of challenge and fun for all participants.

Monday - Girls 4x100m NON only, Hudson's Bay HS Track, 5:30-6:45pm

Because of the quick rise in temperatures, I’m cancelling practice for all runners except the girls 4x100m NON runners. Distance runners may take the day off. The distance runners who are participating in NON should get a 30 minute run tomorrow morning along with 4-6x 50-80m strides at the end.

The NON relay team should be okay to perform practice handoffs since the repetitions are short. Coach Ilena will be there to work with the girls.

I will update the calendar this evening when I have better service.
