WHO: Open to all registered Whisper runners.
WHAT: Oregon Relays. This is a two-day event and with amazing athletes! There are only a few middle school events (mile, 800m, 4x100m, 4x400m), and the rest of the meet is high school racing. See the schedule below (Friday is the 800m, the rest is on Saturday). Hotels are spendy, so day trips are fine (I will be staying overnight). Because the meet lasts as long as it does, we will plan to sit together (at Hayward) as a team (runners, parents, and coaches), but there are no plans for team dinners, etc. Spectator tickets should be pre-purchased (click here). Runners and coaches get in free.

REGISTRATION: Seed-based entries. Two runners allowed per middle school team per gender per grade in the mile. Two runners allowed per middle school team per gender in the 800m. Two relay teams allowed per middle school per gender. $50 per runner per event (2 events = $100, plus online fees). All runners competing for Whisper must be on the official USATF and athletic.net rosters. Please see the team page for more information.
TEAM INFORMATION: Coach Dave will always aim to arrive at the meet venue at least 75-minutes prior to the meet start time. Some meets run on a schedule, and some do not. If you read “rolling schedule,” this means the meet (generally) has an official start time, but events are completed one after another. For meets with rolling schedules (most), Coach Dave will try to provide an estimated start time for each event and post it here. Runners should arrive at the team canopy no later than 75-minnutes prior to their anticipated/scheduled race time. The Oregon Relays meet is a very special meet, highlighting the best competition from around the nation. If you are able, make a weekend (Fri-Sat) of it and enjoy the meet!
