New Fall Training Program

Begins September 1, 2025

Beginning September 2025, there will be three training classifications: 

  • 9U Fundamentals. Designed for ages 7-9, training will be offered on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 4:30-5:30pm. This group will learn fundamental movements to enhance proprioception (balance, reaction time, coordination, etc.), while building a fitness base to eventually advance to the Developmental Program.

  • Developmental Program. Designed for mature 9yo and older, training will be offered on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 5:30-6:45pm. Training focus will include a variety of training (running) types to enhance overall fitness, preparing runners to participate in 3k races on the team schedule.

  • Performance Program. Designed for mature runners committed to racing, travel meets, and post-season Junior Olympics. Runners will be expected to:

    • Attend Monday and Wednesday practices (unless a school meet is scheduled on the same day), 5:30-6:45pm.

    • Attend weekend meets (obviously things come up…)

    • Have 2-3 active rest days each week

    • Complete one long run each week (typically weekend, miles = grade level).

    • Complete 4-5 days of running each week (each person will have a prescribed amount of running each day - simple, yet consistent).

This new routine may take some getting used to, but in order to best coach the most dedicated runners in the program, forming groups is necessary.  If your child is in the Developmental Program but wishes to commit to the Performance Program, they must be, A) emotionally and physically ready, and B) be a very good teammate.  This means they must be attentive, committed toward improvement, have healthy eating and sleep schedules, and aspire to be the best runner they can be. Please inquire if your child wishes to train alongside a different group.  Also, runners should only show up to the group they are assigned.
