Whisper Team CornerFollowing the January through March training block, the runners of Whisper have been stringing together nice personal records (PR’s), with many placing themselves among the greats from the past, rewriting the record books in each of the grade levels spanning 2-8! The team results and record database can be found on athletic.net. While records are not the primary objective of competition, they do provide a level of comparison to the legends of the past, and this group is quietly making a name for itself! Next up?Several runners from Whisper will be racing at Friday’s Meet of Champions in Corvallis, OR. This is followed by the Beaverton Youth Track Club meet on May 24, and the Portland Track Festival on June 24. High school runners looking to extend their season may join us at the Portland Track Festival and/or Nike Outdoor Nationals scheduled for June 19-22. Our Time to Shine 2025Event includes a 1k (.6 mile) kids trot or 5k run/walk/stroller, followed by a resource fair! Join the fun and enjoy 13 resource booths, Columbia Play Project pop up museum, food, signature coffee, Italian soda, popcorn, cotton candy, a bounce house, DJ, Ridgefield raptor mascot (passing out GA tickets), face painting, balloon art and more!
