The start of the 2026 club track season has been fire to say the least! Following an amazing Wildwood Miles for Girls & Women event, Whisper hosted its first annual Whisper Twilight on Saturday, March 14, which touted relays galore! Three weeks later, the club traveled south to Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, for the Oregon Relays, where the milers and girls 4x400m team staked their claim as some of the best to come through the Whisper program. Highlights include Finley’s 4:50 mile, a 15-second PR, and Lucas, Campbell, and Gus finishing second, third, and fourth in their respective races mile races. On the girls side, the sub-six minute mile club has a new member in Savannah, who ran 5:57, and Whisper has a new middle school-age record holder in the mile, Claire, who improved her time to 5:24.93. Finally, the girls 4x400m team threw down the fastest time in program history, 4:34.36, a mere .9-seconds faster than the 2020 team at Teddy Twilight.
